ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will be responsible for leading the organization's risk management strategy and ensuring effective risk mitigation processes in overseeing social and customer audits, ensuring compliance with HR and labor laws, and maintaining the organization's risk profile.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Risk Management & Mitigation:

- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks across all operational sectors.

- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks, both internal and external, ensuring the timely implementation of mitigation strategies.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop risk-reduction strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Social and Customer Audits:

- Manage audits ensuring compliance with international and local standards, ESG requirements, and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:

- Ensuring compliance with all HR-related regulations, including labor laws, employment standards, and occupational health and safety requirements.

- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, advising leadership on necessary adjustments to remain compliant.

- Oversee internal audits to ensure adherence to policies and best practices in HR compliance.

Risk Reporting & Advisory:

- Provide regular risk assessments to the board and senior management, offering recommendations for addressing identified risk.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

- Lead cross-functional teams in risk assessments and work closely with HR, finance, legal, and operations to integrate risk management.

Role Requirements:

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in risk management, and compliance roles, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

- Strong understanding of HR compliances, labor laws, and regulatory frameworks in India.

- Proven track record of managing customer and social audits and ensuring compliance with ESG standards.

Education: Master's degree in risk management, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.

Skills and Competencies:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong presence in Board meetings.
