Role Summary :
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for leading the organisation's financial strategy, governance, and performance management. The role involves driving financial planning, capital management, compliance, and operational excellence while ensuring robust control systems to safeguard company assets and enable sustainable growth. The CFO will work closely with leadership to provide strategic financial insights and support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Strategy & Planning :
- Drive long-term financial strategy, planning, and business growth initiatives.
- Lead risk management and ensure financial stability of the organisation.
- Develop financial models, DPRs, and viability assessments for strategic decisions.
Capital & Fund Management :
- Ensure timely fund raising through banks and financial instruments (Term Loans, NCDs, ECBs).
- Manage relationships with financial institutions and investors.
- Monitor and maintain healthy and sustainable cash flows.
Financial Reporting & Analysis :
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, forecasts).
- Provide financial insights, variance analysis, and business performance reviews.
- Validate CAPEX proposals and advise on financial feasibility.
Budgeting & Performance Monitoring :
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor actuals vs. budgets and conduct root cause analysis of deviations.
- Drive cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate MIS reporting across sites.
Compliance & Audit :
- Ensure timely closure of books in SAP in compliance with accounting standards.
- Manage internal and statutory audits and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (Direct & Indirect Tax) and group policies.
Operational Finance :
- Oversee invoicing, vendor payments, and working capital management.
- Manage insurance processes, claims, and documentation.
- Review fixed asset capitalisation and CWIP reconciliation.
Risk & Governance :
- Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance mechanisms.
- Review cost optimisation dashboards and report to leadership.
Process Excellence & Team Leadership :
- Drive automation and technology initiatives in Finance & Accounts.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing finance teams.
- Ensure continuous capability building and team development.
Required Skills & Certifications :
- Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.
- Strong experience in fund raising, financial modelling, and compliance.
- Hands-on experience with SAP and financial systems.
