Objectives of the Role:
- Drive financial strategy, capital structuring, and fiscal stewardship, ensuring alignment with Tremont's premium positioning.
- Lead all aspects of cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring financial strength and stability.
- Oversee annual operating, capital, and program budgets, providing clear insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Establish robust internal controls, reporting mechanisms, and best practices, balancing discipline with operational flexibility.
- Ensure strict compliance with evolving taxation laws, regulatory frameworks, and financial legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all direct and indirect tax laws, including GST.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants and auditors for filings, reviews, and advisory.
- Manage and oversee internal, LLP, statutory, tax, and GST audits.
- Supervise payroll processing and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Provide financial insights during the review of legal agreements and contracts.
- Develop detailed budget proposals while ensuring contract and grant compliance.
- Identify new revenue opportunities, optimize costs, and streamline financial processes.
- Conduct risk management analysis, oversee capital structure, and support fundraising initiatives.
- Monitor business performance, implement corrective measures, and prepare detailed reports for leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage finance teams and IT financial systems, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in real estate and construction
- Expertise in real estate finance, taxation, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of direct tax, indirect tax, and GST laws.
- Proven experience in audits, reporting, and financial governance.
- Skilled in financial modeling, risk assessment, and investment management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication and strategic decision-making capabilities.
