Treasury Front Office | Funding & Gapping

Main Scope of Duties & Responsibilities

Fund Management

- Manage the funding position of the Bank using money market instruments such as Borrowing, Lending, and Certificates of Deposit (CDs).

- Manage the short-term liquidity position of the Bank.

- Maintain statutory ratios including CRR and SLR.

- Manage liquidity risk and interest rate gaps.

- Work with money market products such as NDS-Call, NDS-OM, CBLO/TREPS, and REPO.

- Manage INR accounts and FCY Nostro balances, ensuring sufficient overnight and term funding at appropriate rates to enhance returns.

- Coordinate with Corporate Banking Relationship Managers to achieve overall profitability targets through effective Transfer Pricing.

- Ensure adherence to RBI regulations governing Treasury and ALM activities.

Forex Dealing

- Access and utilize swap markets for managing funding positions.

- Act as a backup for the FX Dealing Desk covering Spot, Cash, Tom, Forwards, and Swaps.

- Maintain and monitor AGL, IGL, and NOPL limits.

Financial Institution Function (Correspondent Banking Relationships)

- Manage relationships with Banks and Brokers.

- Initiate and maintain credit limits with banking counterparties.

Reporting & Treasury Analytics

- Prepare daily funding position reports.

- Prepare monthly reports for submission to ALCO.

- Prepare Transfer Pricing reports, including rate cards for deposits and loans.

- Forecast balance sheet position and profitability.

- Prepare regulatory and management reports as required by Management and Head Office.

- Perform FTP calculation, preparation, and ongoing management.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

- 2-3 years of professional experience in the Treasury function of a Bank.

- Strong understanding of all aspects of Treasury and Financial Markets.

- University Degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or Mathematics.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA from a reputed B-School preferred.
