Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Treasury Head to lead the fund-raising and liquidity management strategy for our Housing Finance Company (HFC) based in Mumbai. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary architect of our capital structure, navigating complex debt markets to secure optimal funding lines while ensuring robust liquidity buffers. You will work closely with the Board of Directors, institutional investors, banks, and rating agencies to maintain our financial health and credit standing. By balancing cost-of-funds optimization with stringent risk management, you will directly influence the company-s profitability, growth trajectory, and ability to scale its mortgage lending portfolio in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Spearhead comprehensive fund-raising initiatives across diverse channels, including bank term loans, NCDs, securitization, and ECBs, to ensure a steady and cost-effective flow of capital for the lending business.

- Manage end-to-end relationships with banking partners, financial institutions, and credit rating agencies to secure favorable credit terms and maintain high-grade ratings.

- Oversee daily cash management and liquidity risk frameworks, ensuring the organization remains compliant with regulatory norms while maintaining optimal asset-liability matching.

- Develop sophisticated financial models to forecast cash flows, assess interest rate sensitivity, and evaluate the impact of various funding scenarios on the company-s bottom line.

- Lead the strategic planning process for capital allocation, providing the leadership team with actionable insights to drive long-term financial stability and sustainable growth.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in raising large-scale debt for NBFCs or HFCs, with a proven track record of navigating complex financial instruments and debt market cycles.

- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis, enabling the translation of complex market data into clear, strategic financial decisions.

- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with senior banking executives, investors, and regulatory bodies.

- Strong understanding of ALM (Asset Liability Management) and liquidity risk management, coupled with a deep knowledge of the current regulatory landscape governing the Indian housing finance sector.

- Proven leadership capabilities to mentor treasury teams and foster a culture of high performance and analytical rigor.

- A postgraduate degree in Finance, CA, or an MBA from a premier institute is highly preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a high-stakes, on-site professional environment in Mumbai, maintaining composure and strategic focus during volatile market conditions.

- Possession of 12 - 20 years of relevant experience in treasury management within the financial services sector.
