Treasury Dealer - Forex & Derivatives Trading

Role Objective:

To manage day-to-day trading and dealing activities in foreign exchange and derivative products, ensuring optimal profitability within the approved risk parameters, and contributing to the growth of the banks Treasury business in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute interbank and corporate FX and derivatives transactions in line with market opportunities and client requirements.

- Actively quote, trade, and manage positions in spot, forwards, and derivatives to maximize returns within approved limits.

- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and global developments to identify trading opportunities and hedge exposures effectively.

- Manage and maintain banks proprietary and customer-driven positions within prescribed risk and compliance frameworks.

- Support corporate sales team with pricing, structuring, and execution of treasury products.

- Ensure all trades are executed and recorded accurately in compliance with internal controls, RBI, and regulatory guidelines.

- Maintain effective liaison with counterparties, brokers, and internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Finance).

- Prepare and present daily P&L, position reports, and market commentary to management.

- Contribute to product innovation and business development initiatives within Treasury.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline.

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in FX and derivatives trading in a bank or financial institution.

- Strong understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic factors, and RBI/SEBI regulatory framework.

- Proven dealing experience in interbank FX markets and derivative instruments.

- Excellent analytical, numerical, and decision-making skills.

- Proficiency in dealing systems (Reuters/Bloomberg) and treasury management systems.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
