Role Overview:

The Treasury Consultant role based in Mumbai involves providing expert advisory services to clients on a range of treasury management issues. You will work closely with clients' finance teams to assess their current treasury operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize cash flow. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of treasury best practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The impact of this role is to improve clients' financial performance and strengthen their overall financial stability.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' existing treasury processes, systems, and controls to identify areas for improvement.

- Develop and implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and improve working capital efficiency for clients.

- Advise clients on FX risk management strategies, including hedging techniques and currency exposure management.

- Assist clients in selecting and implementing treasury management systems (TMS) to automate processes and improve reporting.

- Provide guidance on banking relationship management, including bank selection, negotiation of banking fees, and implementation of banking solutions.

- Develop and deliver training programs to clients' treasury staff on best practices in treasury management.

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for clients.

- Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting treasury management to provide up-to-date advice to clients.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in treasury management principles and practices, including cash management, liquidity management, FX risk management, and banking relationship management.

- Proven ability to analyze complex financial data and develop actionable insights.

- Strong understanding of treasury management systems (TMS) and banking platforms.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consulting environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex treasury challenges.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- 5-10 years of relevant experience in treasury management, banking, or consulting.
