Role Overview:

The Head of Upper School - IB DP is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, academic oversight, and overall management of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) within TREAMIS WORLD SCHOOL. This role involves collaborating closely with teachers, students, parents, and the school's leadership team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality IB DP program that aligns with the school's mission and values. The Head of Upper School directly impacts the academic success and personal growth of students, preparing them for higher education and future leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of the IB DP curriculum, ensuring alignment with IB standards and best practices, to enhance student learning outcomes.

- Manage and evaluate the performance of IB DP teachers, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities, to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

- Oversee the academic progress and well-being of IB DP students, providing guidance and support, to ensure their success in the program.

- Collaborate with parents and other stakeholders, maintaining open communication and addressing concerns, to build strong partnerships in support of student learning.

- Ensure compliance with IB regulations and accreditation requirements, managing documentation and reporting, to maintain the school's IB authorization.

- Develop and manage the IB DP budget, allocating resources effectively, to support the program's goals and objectives.

- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting student engagement and leadership development, to create a vibrant learning community.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an IB DP program, including curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with teachers, students, parents, and other stakeholders.

- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Deep understanding of IB philosophy and pedagogy, with a commitment to providing a student-centered learning experience.

- Master's degree in Education or a related field, with relevant certifications in IB DP.
