Role Overview:

We are seeking a Freight Forwarding - Ocean Pricing Expert to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on sourcing competitive ocean freight pricing, preparing accurate quotations, and supporting our sales and operations teams to ensure profitable and efficient logistics solutions for export and import shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing & Quotation Management:

- Source competitive ocean freight rates from shipping lines, carriers, and consolidators.

- Prepare and issue timely and accurate pricing quotations for export/import ocean shipments.

- Maintain and update rate sheets, tariff databases, and pricing tools.

- Negotiate and secure best-in-class rates, terms, and services from carriers and partners.

Customer & Internal Coordination:

- Act as a point of contact for pricing-related queries from customers, sales, and operations teams.

- Support the handover of confirmed bookings to the operations team for execution.

- Provide proactive updates on rate validity, transit times, and service options.

Market & Data Analysis:

- Monitor ocean freight market trends, surcharges, and industry changes to inform pricing strategy.

- Conduct cost analysis and suggest cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.

Reporting & Compliance:

- Maintain accurate records of quotations, pricing decisions, and customer communications.

- Support preparation of pricing reports and analysis for management review.

- Adhere to company policies, SLAs, and international trade regulations.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.

- 3-8 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding with a focus on ocean pricing (export & import).

- Strong negotiate and analytical skills with good Commercial awareness.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with freight management systems/ERP is a plus.
