Transition VC - Vice President - Portfolio Investments

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for the position of Vice President (VP) - Portfolio Investments. The VP will be responsible for managing and overseeing investment portfolios, performing in-depth due diligence, developing and implementing investment strategies, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The role will also involve evaluating financial data, monitoring portfolio performance, and providing insights to support successful investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead or support investment transactions across the full lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and closing.

- Develop, build, and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, assess returns, and analyze risk scenarios.

- Conduct in-depth industry, market, and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

- Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentations, and clearly communicate findings to senior management and investment committees.

- Monitor and analyze the performance of existing portfolio investments, identifying risks, opportunities, and value-creation initiatives.

- Collaborate with legal, tax, accounting, and external advisors to support deal structuring, documentation, operations and execution.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, investment partners, lenders, and external advisors.

- Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and capital deployment strategies, as needed.

Qualifications:

- Expertise in Investment Management and portfolio analysis.

- Strong background in Investments and sound knowledge of financial markets.

- Proficiency in conducting Due Diligence and assessing opportunities.

- Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute effective Investment Strategies.

- Excellent analytical, communication, operations and decision-making skills.

- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, or related fields is a plus.
