Role Description:

TVC is looking for a VP - Marketing & Comms to build and lead the fund's brand, narrative, and external presence from the ground up. This is a founding marketing leadership role you will define how TVC is perceived by founders, co-investors, LPs, policymakers, and the broader climate ecosystem in India and globally.

The ideal candidate is a sharp storyteller and builder who can operate strategically as well as hands-on - equally comfortable shaping a positioning narrative for LPs as they are briefing a journalist, running an event, or reviewing a social media calendar. You'll work closely with the founders and investment team to translate TVC's investment thesis, portfolio wins, and market perspective into a compelling, consistent brand presence.

This role reports directly to the Founders and will be a key member of the leadership team.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Brand & Marketing Strategy:

- Define and own TVC's brand identity, positioning, and narrative across all external touchpoints.

- Build a marketing strategy aligned with fund milestones - fundraising cycles, portfolio announcements, sector reports, and thought leadership.

Public Relations:

- Lead proactive PR efforts - press releases, founder/investor bylines, media interviews, and speaking opportunities.

- Manage reputation and messaging during sensitive moments (deal announcements, market commentary, crisis communication).

- Position TVC's leadership as thought leaders in energy transition and climate investing through op-eds, panels, and interviews.

Events:

- Own TVC's event strategy flagship fund events, founder/LP Mixers, roundtables, and industry conferences.

- Represent TVC at (and help select) key ecosystem events climate tech summits, investor forums, and sector conferences.

- Manage end-to-end event execution: concept, sponsorships, guest lists, logistics, vendor management, and post-event follow-up.

- Use events as a platform to deepen relationships with LPs, co-investors, founders, and policymakers.

Marketing & Content:

- Build a content engine sector insights, portfolio spotlights, market reports, and investment memos-turned-thought-leadership.

- Oversee the fund's website, newsletters, and LP-facing communication materials.

- Partner with the investment team to translate deal activity and market research into external-facing content.

- Track and report on marketing effectiveness (reach, engagement, brand visibility, pipeline influence).

Social Media & Digital Presence:

- Own TVC's social media strategy and presence (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Substack and other relevant platforms).

- Build a consistent posting cadence covering portfolio news, fund milestones, sector commentary, and team visibility.

- Support founders and investment team members in building their individual thought-leadership presence online.

- Monitor digital brand sentiment and engagement, and adapt strategy based on performance.

What We're Looking For:

- 6-10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or brand roles ideally with exposure to venture capital, financial services, startups, or climate/energy sectors.

- Proven experience building a brand/narrative from scratch, ideally in an early-stage or founder-led environment.

- Strong media relationships and a track record of securing high-quality press coverage.

- Excellent writing and storytelling skills able to translate complex investment and climate themes into accessible narratives.

- Experience running events end-to-end, from strategy to execution.

- Comfort operating both strategically and hands-on in a small, fast-moving team.

- Genuine interest in climate, energy transition, or sustainability is a strong plus.
