Head of Human Resources

About the Role

Transformative Ventures is looking for a strategic, business-oriented, and forward-thinking Head of Human Resources to partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team. The role will focus on building strong HR strategy, driving performance culture, strengthening compensation and benefits, enhancing employee engagement, supporting leadership hiring, and bringing AI-enabled thinking into HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. HR Strategy & Business Partnership

- Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to build a people strategy aligned with business goals.

- Design and implement HR strategies that support growth, performance, culture, and leadership capability.

- Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on people, structure, talent, and organization effectiveness.

- Continuously measure HR's contribution to business outcomes.

2. Performance Management

- Build a strong performance-driven culture with clear goals, accountability, and measurable outcomes.

- Design and implement an effective performance management framework.

- Drive goal-setting, reviews, feedback mechanisms, and performance improvement processes.

- Identify high performers, capability gaps, and succession risks.

3. Compensation & Benefits

- Create a competitive and fair rewards structure that attracts, retains, and motivates talent.

- Review and revise compensation and benefits frameworks.

- Benchmark salaries, incentives, benefits, and rewards against market standards.

- Link compensation decisions with performance, role criticality, and business impact.

4. Leadership Hiring & Talent Strategy

- Support the organization in attracting and selecting strong leaders for current and future growth.

- Partner with management on leadership hiring and critical role closures.

- Implement structured assessment tools to evaluate leadership potential and culture fit.

- Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for key roles.

5. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

- Create meaningful and proactive engagement initiatives that strengthen employee experience and organizational culture.

- Design creative engagement programs, recognition initiatives, surveys, and communication forums.

- Analyze employee feedback and convert insights into action plans.

- Work with managers to improve team morale, retention, and collaboration.

6. HR Analytics & Impact Measurement

- Use data to make HR more measurable, business-focused, and outcome-driven.

- Track key HR metrics such as attrition, retention, cost per hire, quality of hire, engagement, and performance trends.

- Build HR dashboards for leadership review and decision-making.

- Evaluate the effectiveness of HR initiatives and recommend improvements.

7. AI & HR Technology

- Bring modern, AI-enabled thinking into HR processes to improve efficiency and decision quality.

- Identify and implement HR tools for hiring, performance management, engagement, analytics, and employee experience.

- Drive adoption of HRMS, automation, and digital HR practices.

- Ensure ethical and effective use of AI in HR decision-making.

8. HR Governance, Policies & Compliance

- Ensure HR practices are structured, compliant, transparent, and scalable.

- Review and update HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.

- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.

- Support management in employee relations, policy interpretation, and governance matters.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- MBA / PGDM in HR, Organizational Behaviour, General Management, or related field from a Tier 1 B-school such as IIM, ISB, XLRI, MDI, FMS, SPJIMR, TISS, or equivalent.

- Strong academic background from reputed institutions.

- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role.

- Strong exposure to HR strategy, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, leadership hiring, and HR analytics.

- Experience working closely with CEOs, founders, CXOs, or senior business leaders.

- Good understanding of AI, HR technology, HRMS, and modern people analytics tools.

- Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws, compliance, and HR governance.

- Experience in fast-growing, founder-led, consulting, investment, technology, or high-performance business environments will be preferred.
