Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Training Lead to design, deliver, and manage learning and development initiatives across the organization. The Training Lead will be responsible for end-to-end learning programs - from needs analysis and curriculum design to delivery, evaluation, and continual improvement - with the objective of driving employee capability, performance, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) across functions to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
- Design, develop, and maintain training curricula, content, and learning materials for classroom, virtual, and blended learning formats.
- Deliver engaging training sessions - both instructor-led and virtual - for new hires and existing employees, including product, process, soft skills, and functional training.
- Build and manage a calendar of recurring and ad-demand training programs; ensure timely rollout and adoption.
- Create assessment tools, quizzes, and practical exercises to evaluate learning outcomes and skill proficiency.
- Measure training effectiveness via evaluations, assessments, on-the-job performance metrics, and feedback; iterate content based on results.
- Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and people managers to align learning initiatives with business goals.
- Mentor and coach trainers and facilitation teams; enable subject matter experts to deliver best-in-class sessions.
- Manage vendor relationships for external training programs, certifications, and specialist workshops when required.
- Drive learning automation and adoption of digital learning platforms (LMS, e-learning modules, video content, micro-learning).
- Prepare regular MIS reports on training activity, participation, pass rates, impact metrics, and improvement plans.
- Lead soft-skills interventions (communication, leadership, stakeholder management) and competency building programs for mid-level and senior talent.
- Ensure training documentation, SOPs, and knowledge resources are up to date and accessible.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Training Lead, L&D Manager, or similar role (typically 6+ years experience - or as specified by hiring team).
- Strong experience in designing and delivering large-scale training programs across multiple formats (classroom, virtual, e-learning).
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and storytelling skills; ability to engage adult learners.
- Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), content authoring tools, and e-learning platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in training evaluation (Kirkpatrick model or equivalent), ROI measurement, and performance analytics.
- Good stakeholder management and influencing skills; ability to partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing internal trainer pools or trainers.
- Ability to convert business requirements and SOPs into clear, actionable training content and job aids.
- Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint for content creation heavily used); comfortable creating visually appealing learning decks and job-aids.
- Project management skills: able to manage multiple training rollouts, timelines, and vendors simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Graduate or Post-graduate degree; preference for HR, Instructional Design, Education, or related fields.
- Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): Instructional Design, Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), CERT IV in Training, or similar L&D credentials.
