Trafigura - Analyst - Credit Portfolio Management

Main purpose:

1. Credit Rating Analysis: Assess and propose internal credit limit appetite and assign internal credit ratings for Trafigura's global counterparts through business, financial and industrial risk assessment.

2. Credit Portfolio Management: Preparation of key management reports; develop risk reports and dashboards for credit offices globally; track & monitor portfolio news & alerts systems; implement stress testing on credit portfolios

Key responsibilities:

- Preparation of Credit Reviews, by conducting counterparty research in relation to the company's background, management details, industry development, ratings, market / news items, detailed financial analysis.

- Trade analysis to assess risk and limit requirements

- Follow recent industry developments such as earnings, news releases, change in credit ratings, etc.

- Reporting & Automation of Key Management Reports like Credit Exposures, Material Overdue report, Credit Breaches report etc.

- Develop comprehensive portfolio reports and interactive dashboards for credit risk

- Design and implement stress testing scenarios to evaluate portfolio resilience under adverse conditions

- Officers

- Help in building predictive models for credit loss estimation and expected credit loss calculations

- To understanding trade Life Cycle - work closely with key departments across the organization, including Accounting, Trade Finance, Operations, and Deal Desk (amongst others) to understand data throughout the trade life cycle

Required qualifications:

- Experience: 2- 4 years credit analysis experience in a financial institution or similar experience on corporate side.

- Handled Mid & Large Corporates and Financial Institutions

- Qualification: MBA/ CA/CFA (either one mandatory)

- Excel and Word/Outlook competent

- Preferred experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

- Preferred acquaintance with SQL and database management systems

- Excellent English verbal and written communication

- Knowledge of Systems such as S&P Capital IQ, Thomson One Reuters, Bloomberg would be good to have

- Mature individual with an ability to assimilate lots of information, think clearly and make presentations in a clear and concise manner; Reliable and thorough, detail-oriented; hard working and flexible; responsible, confident and effective communicator; Able to work independently.
