Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Agro-Commodities trading desk based in Ahmedabad. In this strategic role, you will oversee the end-to-end trading lifecycle, navigating complex domestic and international markets to capitalize on price arbitrage and supply chain efficiencies. You will work closely with procurement heads, logistics partners, and financial stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and risk mitigation. By leveraging your deep market intelligence and established network, you will drive profitability and strengthen our footprint in the competitive agri-commodity landscape, directly impacting the firm's bottom line and long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute high-impact trading strategies to maximize margins while managing exposure to price volatility and market fluctuations.

- Cultivate and maintain high-level relationships with key suppliers, farmers, and institutional clients to secure consistent procurement channels and favorable trade terms.

- Lead complex contract negotiations and oversee the logistics of commodity movement to ensure timely delivery and operational excellence.

- Analyze global supply-demand trends and macroeconomic indicators to provide actionable insights that guide the firm's investment and inventory decisions.

- Mentor cross-functional teams and ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance and internal risk management frameworks across all trading activities.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale commodity portfolios with a proven track record of navigating volatile market cycles.

- Exceptional analytical capabilities to interpret complex data sets and translate them into profitable trading positions.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders, ranging from local suppliers to corporate leadership.
