Role Overview:
As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind our brand's success in the Nigerian market. You will be responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and strengthen relationships with key retail partners. This role involves close collaboration with the sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of trade marketing plans. Your efforts will directly impact our market share, brand equity, and overall business growth in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative trade marketing programs tailored to specific retail channels and customer segments to maximize product availability and visibility.
- Manage the trade marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve desired ROI and sales targets.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute promotional activities, including in-store displays, sampling events, and trade shows, to drive consumer engagement and purchase.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to identify opportunities for growth and optimize trade marketing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners to secure prime shelf space, promotional support, and collaborative marketing initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing programs, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement to the marketing and sales leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies in the execution of trade marketing activities.
- Lead the development of point-of-sale materials and other marketing collateral to support trade marketing initiatives and enhance brand visibility.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful trade marketing strategies within the FMCG sector, driving sales and market share growth.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage budgets effectively and allocate resources to achieve desired ROI.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate the complexities of the Nigerian market.
