Trade Finance Specialist - Commodity Trading - Metals

Job Responsibilities:

- Act as the main contact between the company and financing banks for all trade finance functions specific to the metals commodity trading business.

- Coordinate the end-to-end process of trade finance for both import and export metal trades, ensuring smooth execution from deal initiation to payment settlement.

- Collect, review, and submit key trade documents such as metal invoices, bills of lading, and certificates of origin, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and bank standards for commodity transactions.

- Liaise closely with the trading and operations teams to ensure timely documentation and address any issues related to metal cargo, shipment discrepancies, or payment delays.

- Monitor and accurately process all trade payments, import/export settlements, and the management of trade loans relevant to metals trading (including TR loans, import loans, and receivable discounting).

- Oversee the review and management of Letters of Credit (LCs), ensuring all LC documents for metal transactions are thoroughly prepared, checked, and submitted as per bank requirements.

- Maintain well-organized and detailed records of all commodity trade finance transactions, ensuring audit readiness and adherence to compliance protocols related to metals trading.

- Stay up-to-date on global metals market practices, international trade regulations, sanctions, and AML guidelines impacting commodity trading activities.

Candidate Profile:

- MBA in Finance preferred.

- Minimum 3 years experience in Trade Finance, specifically supporting commodity trading (Metals sector experience is mandatory).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail relevant to metals documentation and settlement cycles.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for frequent coordination with banks, traders, and logistics partners.

- Team player, able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced metals trading environment.
