Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Associate Director of Direct Tax to join our team at TRC. The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our Direct Taxation department, providing expert guidance to clients, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. As an Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of tax professionals and driving growth in our direct tax services. Key Responsibilities: - Direct Tax Strategy: Develop, implement, and manage tax strategies to optimize clients' direct tax positions and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. - Client Advisory: Provide expert advice to clients on direct tax issues, including tax planning, compliance, and strategies to minimize tax liability. - Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the department's success. - Compliance Management: Oversee the preparation and filing of direct tax returns and ensure timely compliance with all tax obligations. - Tax Audits and Disputes: Manage and represent clients in tax audits, appeals, and disputes with tax authorities, striving for favourable resolutions. - Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services. - Stay Informed: Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring that our clients are well-informed and well-prepared. - Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the Direct Taxation practice by identifying opportunities for new business and expanding our client base. Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required. - At least 10 of relevant experience in direct tax planning and compliance ( At least 7 to 8 years in a CA firm) - Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and tax-saving opportunities. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
