Role Description:
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager - OE Business Development, located in Bengaluru.
- The responsibilities include developing business strategies for Original Equipment (OE) customers, conducting market research, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with key clients.
- The role also involves project management, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- The candidate will be expected to manage negotiations, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Strong business development, market research, and client relationship management skills
- Excellent project management and coordination skills
- Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in OE business development
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's /Mba degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru
- Proficiency in using various business software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus
Key Objective:
- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and expanding our market footprint in the automotive OE segment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with decision-makers at OE manufacturers (e.g, purchasing heads, program managers).
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by leveraging networks and market intelligence.
- Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demos that highlight our unique value proposition.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure mutual profitability and value creation.
2. Strategic Sales Execution:
- Identify key targets and prioritize OEMs based on strategic alignment, trends, and growth potential.
- Lead competitive and market analysis to guide customer approach and product positioning.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, engineering, and marketing to align on customer solutions.
3. Forecasting & Reporting
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, market developments, and strategic progress.
- Analyse market feedback and data to fine-tune approach and unlock growth opportunities
