Experience:
We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a minimum of 10 years in the logistics industry, specifically with strong expertise in Full Truck Load (FTL) or Trailer operations. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the FTL business dynamics, including operational management, team leadership, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the FTL business to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team to achieve operational excellence and business targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization.
- Manage large tenders and bidding processes, ensuring competitive and profitable contract wins.
- Travel approximately 10-15 days per month to key locations for business development, client meetings, and operational reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and expand market presence.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to business development initiatives.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong operational knowledge of FTL logistics and trailer management.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, particularly in large-scale tendering and bidding.
- Ability to travel regularly and manage operations across multiple locations.
- Business development experience will be considered an added advantage.
Education:
- MBA preferred, with a focus on logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
