Torrent Pharmaceuticals - Manager - Strategic Planning

Technical Competencies:

Lead Generation:

- Assess global pipeline (Global Data, Evaluate) to shortlist assets that demonstrate differentiation from existing standard of care and have fitment with Torrents long term portfolio strategy.

- Establish and maintain relationships with innovators of these assets to convert both out-bound outreaches and in-bound RFPs into structured IL projects.

Patient Funnels and Forecasting:

- Work closely with Commercial teams to review the target patient pool for the drug and estimate long term demand through patient funnels/other forecasting models.

Financial Assessment:

- Coordinate with Corporate Finance to review P&L and NPV/IRR for assessment of project viability.

- Familiarity with financial metrics and deal payment structures (upfront, milestone-based, royalty) is required.

Deal Terms & Legal Review:

- Draft deal terms in alignment with internal stakeholders and industry benchmarks.

- Assist negotiations with potential partners to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.

- Project manage the subsequent due diligence and legal review activities with respective teams.

Functional Competencies:

Internal Stakeholder Management:

- Liase and work with multiple stakeholders across Financial, Commercial, Medical, Legal and Strategy to meet project timelines.

Negotiation:

- Assist negotiation of deal terms and other strategic/operational aspects with both domestic and international partners.

External Alliance Management:

- Act as primary contact for external alliance operations post deal, and facilitate smooth execution of operational commitments such as JSCs, purchase commitments etc.
