Role Description:
We are looking for a Assistant Manager - Corporate Strategy to join our Business Excellence / CEO Office team. This is a high-impact role responsible for M&A evaluation, financial modelling, business case development, market research, and enterprise-level performance planning.
The role works directly with the CEO, promoters and senior leadership, and requires strong analytical capability, financial acumen, structured thinking, and the ability to convert complex data into clear insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&A and Investment Evaluation
- Build complete financial models for acquisitions and investments
- Conduct DCF valuation, comparable analysis, precedent transaction analysis
- Perform IRR, ROI, NPV, accretion/dilution, and sensitivity analysis
- Support financial and commercial due diligence
- Work on deal structures, funding options, and integration models
- Track synergy realization and build post-acquisition performance dashboards
- Business Case Development
- Create business cases for new markets, products, and expansion opportunities
- Evaluate capex, payback period, break-even points, return profiles
- Build scenario models (base, downside, severe case)
- Provide data-backed recommendations for senior leadership approval
Market Research & Strategy:
- Conduct TAM/SAM/SOM market sizing using top-down and bottom-up methods
- Study industry trends and competitor benchmarks
- Identify whitespace opportunities and revenue growth initiatives
- Develop insights to support long-term planning and capital allocation
CEO Office & Financial Planning:
- Build and manage Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and rolling forecasts
- Conduct variance analysis and identify performance improvement levers
- Prepare Board presentations, investor decks, and CEO briefing notes
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership on strategic initiatives
Desired Candidate Profile:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields
- MBA is a plus but not mandatory
Work Experience:
2-4 years of experience in:
- Investment Banking
- Corporate Finance
- Strategy Consulting
- Transaction Advisory (Valuations / FDD)
- Experience in financial modelling, valuation, and business analysis
Skills Required:
- Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
- Strong understanding of DCF, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with senior stakeholders
- High ownership, attention to detail, and structured thinking
