TORQ - Project Manager - Civil Agro Processing Plant

Role Objective:

To lead end-to-end civil execution for setting up a greenfield agro-processing plant, ensuring timely delivery, quality, safety, and cost control from planning to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution

- Drive end-to-end civil project execution including site development, plant buildings, roads, drains, utilities, and infrastructure.

2. Design & Engineering Coordination

- Coordinate with consultants, architects, structural & MEP teams for drawings, approvals, and technical alignment.

3. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Prepare project budgets, track costs, control variations, and ensure cost-effective execution.

4. Procurement & Contracts

- Handle contractor/vendor finalization, tendering, BOQ, work orders, and contract execution.

5. Construction & Quality Management

- Monitor site progress, quality standards, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications.

6. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication

- Lead site engineers/contractors and provide regular updates to management on progress, risks, and timelines.

7. Risk & Change Management

- Identify project risks, manage delays, resolve site issues, and control scope changes effectively.

8. Project Close-Out

- Ensure completion documentation, snag clearance, handover, and support during commissioning.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education

- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

- Masters or postgraduate qualification in Project Management/Construction Management is an advantage.

Experience

- 8 to 12+ years of project management experience, with significant civil construction exposure.

- Experience in industrial/agro-processing plant civil projects is preferred.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and infrastructure standards.

- Proficiency with project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.

- Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.

Soft Skills

- Excellent leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.

- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.

- Local Language ( Marathi preferred)
