Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Branch Manager with 10-15 years of experience to lead our operations in Kolkata. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch performance, including daily operations, financial targets, sales growth, and team leadership. A thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within this sector are crucial for success in this role.

What We Expect

- Supervise department managers by providing clear direction and training, and effectively communicating company policies, procedures, and objectives.

- Lead by example in the companys commitment to safety and administer the company safety program, including performing necessary safety audits and emphasizing safety to all employees. Chair the branch safety committee.

- Ensure the branch's daily operations run efficiently and cost-effectively, meeting financial commitments, including target EBIT and gross margin percent goals across all lines of business.

- Manage profit and loss (P&L) and use accounting reports to measure each department's performance to ensure monthly budgetary goals are met. Prepare the yearly budget for district management to be presented to regional management. Lead quarterly unprofitable account reviews and follow-ups.

- Work with sales managers to increase the customer base or, depending on branch size, directly handle sales management responsibilities. This includes meeting with and making presentations to current and potential customers; resolving customer problems; and participating in the bidding of large and/or complex jobs to ensure profitability. Review and approve revenue and margins prior to submission of sales proposals.

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, elevator consultants, building owners, managers, and prospects.

- Oversee the employee performance management process and ensure compliance by all branch personnel with all company directives and initiatives.

- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume, market penetration, volume of outstanding bids, available new business, special projects, staffing requirements, and availability.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all state and local elevator industry code requirements and a good understanding of employment and labor laws.

- Maintain strong familiarity with company products by attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods.

- Be responsible for reviewing and approving invoices, accounts receivables, write-offs, and credits, including assisting in the collection of problem accounts. Lead meetings to review all over-due receivables (AR) and assign action plans.

- Consult with regional and district teams in areas of operations, sales, accounting, safety, and human resources.

Who We Are Looking For

- Experience: 10-15 years in a relevant leadership or management role.

- Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the elevator industry.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
