Job Description :

Business Planning & Financial Review :


- Budgeting : Collaborate with Sales, Retail, HR, and Admin teams to develop the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and create precise store/regional expenditure projections.


- Variance Analysis : Perform monthly cost variance analysis and conduct Root Cause (RC) investigations for major deviations to influence stakeholder corrective actions.


- Profitability Tracking : Coordinate with the Retail/Sales team to prepare and publish monthly Store Profitability Reports.


- Timeline Adherence : Ensure all projections and budget sheets are submitted to Divisional Commercial within agreed-upon schedules.


Receivables & Payables Management :


- Debtor Management : Partner with Sales teams to ensure zero outstanding balances, managing collections within credit periods and performing periodic Statement of Account (SOA) analysis.


- Customer Reconciliation : Verify customer balances, support the FICO team in identifying variances, and provide stakeholders with regular aging updates.


- Franchisee Claims : Manage the end-to-end processing and settlement of Franchisee claims, ensuring quarterly sign-offs and reconciliations are completed.


- Commercial Infrastructure : Oversee the commercial setup for store openings, closings, and conversions, ensuring all necessary licenses and infrastructure are in place.


Working Capital & Fund Management :


- Treasury Liaison : Reconcile Funds in Transit (FIT) with the Treasury team monthly and manage the resolution of any unreconciled items.


- Cash Flow Management : Provide daily fund requirements and periodic cash flow statements to Treasury to optimize working capital and minimize idle funds.


- Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a bridge between internal and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and outstanding credits.


Compliance & Risk Mitigation :


- SOP Governance : Enforce strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Schedule of Authority (SOA) for all business transactions.


- Audit Excellence : Drive 100% audit ratings across Retail stores and oversee commercial operations in Company stores via Store Commercial Officers.


- Due Diligence : Conduct thorough due diligence for both prospective and existing Franchisee partners to mitigate business risk.


- Legal & Statutory : Ensure total compliance with statutory laws and regulations to prevent litigations and process deviations.


Taxation & General Ledger (GL) Oversight :


- Tax Reporting : Provide monthly reports to the Indirect Tax team and conduct periodic reviews of GST Input Tax Credits (ITC) to prevent revenue loss.


- TDS Verification : Perform regular reviews of TDS credits to ensure they are accurately reflected in Form 26AS for all customer deductions.


- GL Hygiene : Lead monthly reviews of regional General Ledgers, resolving long-pending items to ensure no unauthorized carry-forwards between periods.


Stakeholder Engagement & Training :


- Capability Building : Execute quarterly refresher training for Sales/Retail teams, Associates, and Vendors regarding current SOPs, statutory requirements, and commercial policies.


- Relationship Management : Meet with Business Associates periodically to address grievances and collaborate with the Retail team to improve Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for claim processing.


- Strategic Support : Coordinate with Corporate Commercial for specialized fund arrangements and working capital needs as required.


Policy, Process Improvement & Month-End Closing :


- Terms of Trade (ToT) : Configure channel and customer-specific ToTs in coordination with the Divisional Commercial Team.


- Margin Validation : Perform periodic validation of franchisee margins for both new and existing partners to ensure zero revenue leakage.


- Book Closing : Manage month-end provisions, reverse undelivered goods/credits, and ensure all overheads and income accounting are signed off before closure.


- MIS Management : Prepare and submit a comprehensive suite of MIS reports (Bank reconciliation, Debtors aging, etc.) to the Regional Commercial Head with high accuracy.
