Description:


Role: Area Business Manager- Retail


Reports to: RBM Retail


Business: Watches & Wearables


Role Summary:


Drive regional sales performance by managing companyowned and franchise stores, ensuring superior customer experience, operational excellence, and expansion within the assigned geography.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Business Growth:


- Drive regional sales targets and ensure YoY growth.


- Monitor store performance and implement corrective actions.


- Support annual business planning, budgeting, and ROI projections.


Network Expansion:


- Identify market potential, benchmark competition, and propose new store opportunities.


- Conduct feasibility studies for new stores and franchise partners.


Retail Marketing:


- Develop regional marketing plans, BTL initiatives, and budgets.


- Support VM updates, promotions, and retail activations to boost sales.


Franchisee Management:


- Maintain strong relationships with franchise partners and resolve operational issues.


- Ensure store profitability and satisfaction scores.


Retail Operations:


- Ensure smooth store operations in coordination with internal teams (HR, Admin, VM, IRSG, Legal).


- Manage store opening activities, scheme rollouts, and feedback mechanisms.


Training & People Management:


- Identify training needs and ensure product and sales training.


- Develop and mentor regional teams, ensure succession planning, and drive performance culture.


Customer Experience:


- Handle critical customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.


- Enhance overall customer satisfaction through continuous improvements.


Requirements:


Education: MBA from Tier 1 college


Experience: 2-6 years in sales/retail


Skills: Customer Centricity, Result Orientation, Team Leadership, Relationship Management, Ambiguity Handling


Knowledge: Strong retail and sales operations understanding
