What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dynamic Strategic Project Specialist to drive execution of key organizational initiatives through disciplined project management, financial oversight, and PMO governance.
This role bridges strategy and delivery, ensuring that all programs within the Central Strategy portfolio achieve measurable business impact.
A critical component of this role is managing the financial health of the projects, requiring proven expertise in P&L responsibility, budgeting, forecasting, and driving revenue growth and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, an exceptional communicator, and a decisive problem-solver, with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects.
This role is central to ensuring the successful execution of strategic priorities, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions, optimize resource allocation, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
1. Project Management & Delivery
- Lead planning and execution of complex, cross-functional projects using best-practice methodologies.
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and budgets to ensure delivery excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve milestones and sustain quality outcomes.
2. Financial & P&L Oversight
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and profitability targets, ensuring financial accountability.
- Analyze financial performance metrics (e.g., Gross margin, EBITDA, Gross Sales Value, Revenue) and provide timely, actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support business case development and financial modeling for new initiatives. Drive continuous improvement in cost efficiency and revenue capture within project boundaries.
3. Strategic Planning & Alignment
- Translate organizational strategy into actionable project and program roadmaps.
- Conduct strategic and market analyses to identify opportunities and risks.
- Track and report on the strategic impact and performance of ongoing initiatives.
4. PMO Governance & Portfolio Management
- Oversee strategic project portfolios and ensure adherence to PMO standards and governance frameworks.
- Develop performance dashboards and executive reporting for the Central Strategy leadership team.
- Drive consistency, prioritization, and transparency across all strategic initiatives.
5. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Serve as the key liaison between leadership, cross functional departments, and project teams. - Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and financial performance.
- Facilitate steering committees, governance meetings, and executive briefings. 6. Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Mentor project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and delivery excellence.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Champion best practices in change management and strategic execution.
Expertise and Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent from a premier/Tier-1 B-school.
- More than 1 year of proven experience in project management, PMO, or strategy execution roles, ideally in a cross-functional or corporate strategy environment.
- Strong understanding of financial management, performance analytics, and strategic planning.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive reporting skills.
- Certification in PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile preferred.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills; advanced proficiency with MS Excel & PowerPoint.
- Analytical, strategic, and highly organized mindset with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
