Role Overview:
The Corporate Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth strategy of the organization. Working closely with the senior leadership team, this individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic M&A transactions and investment opportunities. The role involves deep engagement with internal business heads and external stakeholders to drive value creation, ensuring that all investments align with the company's long-term strategic objectives. This position offers a unique vantage point to influence the future trajectory of one of India's most influential media houses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, structuring, and negotiation to expand the company's market footprint.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for senior management to facilitate strategic discussions and approvals.
- Develop comprehensive financial models and valuation analyses to assess the viability and potential return on investment for prospective targets.
- Conduct rigorous commercial and financial due diligence to identify risks and opportunities, ensuring informed decision-making for the investment committee.
- Define and articulate clear investment thesis, establish target criteria, and use them to source high-fit opportunities in line with our strategic roadmap.
- Monitor and track the performance of existing portfolio companies to ensure strategic alignment and identify potential synergies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and tax departments, to ensure seamless deal closure and integration.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and transaction structuring, with a strong grasp of corporate finance principles.
- Exhibit the ability to synthesize complex market data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively manage relationships with external advisors, target companies, and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a high degree of adaptability and professional rigor while working in a fast-paced, on-site environment at our Noida office.
- Hold a professional degree such as an MBA from a top-tier institute or a Chartered Accountancy qualification, complemented by 3 - 5 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate Development.
