Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Business Analyst to support our engagement with a client in FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between finance stakeholders and data/technology teams, ensuring accurate requirement gathering, documentation, and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis:
- Collaborate with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes, objectives, and pain points.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows).
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement validation sessions.
- Ensure traceability of requirements through the project lifecycle.
- Support UAT planning, execution, and sign-off processes.
Finance Domain Expertise:
Strong understanding of Finance processes such as:
- Financial Reporting
- P&L analysis
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Cost management
- Ability to interpret financial data and align analytics outputs with business objectives.
Data Analysis & Technical Skills:
- Perform data extraction and analysis using SQL.
- Develop and maintain workflows using Alteryx for data transformation and automation.
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
- Build structured datasets to support reporting and dashboarding needs.
- Collaborate with BI teams for reporting and visualization initiatives.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 2- 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Finance domain.
- Strong requirement gathering and documentation experience.
- Hands-on experience with SQL (advanced querying skills).
- Practical experience with Alteryx (data preparation & workflow automation).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in FMCG/Consumer Goods industry.
- Exposure to large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
