TheSqua.re - General Manager - Finance

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee full bookkeeping and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international and local accounting standards for over a dozen global clients / business units.

- Manage monthly statutory P&L reporting and provide strategic financial insights.

- Strengthen and manage credit control, emphasizing timely collections and minimizing outstanding receivables.

- Liaise with banks and financial institutions to manage corporate financing and optimize cash flow.

- Work closely with technology teams to implement and improve AI-based financial and operational solutions.

- Manage and develop a robust finance team to support operations, ensuring team efficiency and effectiveness.

- Develop and monitor financial KPIs, prepare comprehensive financial forecasts, and drive financial performance.

- Oversee and potentially lead IT and HR functions in the future, fostering cross-department collaboration.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial, regulatory, and statutory requirements.

- Provide leadership in scaling up operations and maintaining financial health in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role with at least 15 years of team management experience.

- Experience managing a business with a minimum revenue of - 200 crores.

- Demonstrated experience in a rapid growth scale-up or start-up environment, ideally venture-backed or private equity-owned.

- Strong expertise in collections, credit control, and financial planning in multiple international jurisdictions.

- Top tier MBA (IIM, or Ivy League) or rank holder CA.

- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach and strategic mind-set.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to understand and deal with complex processes, legal contracts and multitask effectively.
