Position & Designation: Head - Business Development.

Division & Department: Green Hydrogen (Business Development, Market Development, Sales & Marketing, Proposals).

Total Desirable Years of Experience Desired: 15-25 years of combined experience in engineering, manufacturing, Process, EPC, Oil & Gas, renewable, developers, industry.

Qualifications: B.Tech/MBA preferred.

Desired type of Experience: Oil & Gas, Process, manufacturing, EPC experience/ Experience in Hydrogen Generation ( Grey / Green).

Additional Information: Willhave to travel to customers >35% time.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Development, Project Participation & Strategic Partnerships:

- Lead identification and evaluation of business opportunities.

- Front-end participation in EOIs, RFPs, tenders, and project proposals related to hydrogen generation, storage, and distribution.


- Build partnerships and collaborations with financial institutions, PSUs project developers, industrial houses, IPPs, EPCs, and international stakeholders for hydrogen project collaboration.


- Develop strategic roadmaps for market entry and expansion across domestic and international markets.

Techno-commercials Proposal finalizations:

- Lead proposal development (Costing &Commercials) for Green Hydrogen projects & submission of Techno-commercial proposals to customers (EPC & small sized BOO projects).


- Develop Contract Standard T&Cs, revie wprocess and Deviation Matrix.

- Lead Risk review process for the techno-commercial & competitive bid & proposals submission.

Policy &Regulatory Intelligence:

- Continuously monitor and analyze policy developments related to hydrogen in India, Europe, and other key geographies.

- Engage with central and state government bodies(MNRE, Niti Aayog, DST), PSUs, and regulatory authorities to explore and influence green hydrogen policies and schemes.


- Provide actionable insights and recommendationsto the leadership team to align business strategy with evolving policylandscapes.

- Actively pursue participation in government PLI& pilot initiatives.

Brand Representation & Industry Leadership:


- Represent Thermax in industry events and forums, exhibitions, conferences, and consortiums.

- Act as a thought leader in the green hydrogen space, contributing to whitepapers, public forums, and

regulatory discussions.

Major Deliverables:

- Meet Order Intake & project profitability targets.


- Build strategic partnerships with government bodies, PSUs, industrial houses, developers, and global investors to drive green hydrogen initiatives.


- Lead techno-commercial proposal development& submissions of bids / proposals against EOIs & tenders.

- Participation in pilot projects such as Hydrogen Valley and Electrolyzer PLI schemes.

- Develop and execute a market expansion strategy for both domestic and international opportunities.

- Monitor and analyze policy and regulatory developments to support strategic business decisions.

- Represent Thermax at industry forums and collaborate cross-functionally to convert opportunities into business wins.
