Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Reporting to: CEO

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Senior Manager/Associate Vice President - IT Sales to spearhead new business acquisition across Indian and international markets. This is a hunting (new logo acquisition) role, responsible for generating leads, building pipelines, and closing high-value deals. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales leader with a strong track record of bringing in new logos, engaging CXO-level decision-makers, and driving revenue growth independently.

This role is critical to our growth strategy and comes with significant leadership potential. Based on performance, the incumbent may be elevated to a Partner role at Thence in 2 years.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive the end-to-end sales lifecycle - from prospecting and lead generation to pitch, negotiation, and closure.

- Generate high-quality leads through outbound efforts, networking, referrals, and industry connections.

- Build and execute account acquisition strategies

- Engage with senior stakeholders (CXOs, VPs, Founders) to understand their challenges and position Thence as a trusted partner.

- Craft and deliver compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations tailored to client needs.

- Consistently meet and exceed revenue targets by acquiring new accounts across domestic and global markets.

- Maintain a disciplined and up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM system, with clear visibility on progress and closures.

- Work closely with leadership to refine go-to-market strategies, identify high-impact industries, and strengthen Thence's market positioning.

- Represent Thence as the face of sales at client meetings, industry events, and business forums.

Build a high performing BD & Sales function

What We're Looking For:

- 8-10 years of proven experience in IT services sales (mandatory), with at least 5 years in outbound hunting roles.

- Strong track record of acquiring new accounts and closing high-value deals in India and/or international markets.

- Ability to independently drive the full sales cycle with minimal supervision.

- Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

- Experience in engaging senior executives and handling high-stakes conversations.

- Strong business acumen and understanding of solution-based IT services sales (Not SaaS).

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- High ownership mindset - thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, startup-like environments.
