Urbaine Consumer India Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of The Wellness Shop and Hey Pookee, is a fast-growing D2C business operating across skincare, personal care, nutraceuticals, Ayurveda, and personal care devices.

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to build and manage our manufacturing and sourcing ecosystem across India and China.

Role Overview:

The Procurement Manager will own end-to-end procurement, third-party manufacturing, packaging material sourcing, China sourcing for personal care devices, vendor negotiations, inventory coordination, and cost optimization.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience in a growing D2C or consumer brand who can independently manage vendors, product development timelines, quality, and new product launches.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party manufacturers across India and China.

- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, MOQs, and delivery timelines.

- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.

- Manage contract manufacturing for skincare, personal care, nutraceuticals, Ayurveda, and personal care devices.

- Source packaging materials, including bottles, labels, monocartons, caps, and other components.

- Coordinate sampling, costing, production planning, and product readiness.

- Lead sourcing of electronic and non-electronic personal care devices from China.

- Manage supplier evaluation, product sampling, pricing negotiations, and import logistics.

- Optimize landed costs and ensure quality and delivery standards.

- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to support timely product launches.

- Ensure sourcing and manufacturing timelines align with launch plans.

- Resolve supply and vendor-related challenges proactively.

- Coordinate with Operations and Factory teams for inventory planning and stock availability.

- Minimize stock-outs, particularly during festive and high-demand periods.

- Improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.

- Maintain vendor accountability for product quality and delivery.

- Conduct factory visits, supplier meetings, and quality checks as required.

- Build a reliable and diversified vendor network.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.

- Experience working with a D2C startup or consumer brand, preferably through a growth or scaling phase.

- Strong hands-on experience in third-party / contract manufacturing.

- Experience in raw material and packaging material procurement.

- China sourcing experience for personal care devices, including electronic and non-electronic products, is essential.

- Good understanding of skincare, personal care, nutraceuticals, and Ayurveda categories.

- Strong negotiation, vendor management, costing, and supply planning skills.

- Established network of manufacturers and packaging suppliers.

- Experience managing products from sourcing and sampling through production and launch.

- Willingness to travel across North India for factory visits and vendor meetings.

Good to Have:

- Practical understanding of formulation, filling, manufacturing processes, or device assembly.
