The Wellness Shop is a rapidly growing wellness brand dedicated to offering high-quality products for better living. As we expand into the retail space, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead our retail sales strategy and execution across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBO). This is a leadership role responsible for driving retail growth, increasing market penetration, and establishing a strong retail presence for our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retail Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive retail sales strategy for General Trade, Modern Trade, and Exclusive Brand Outlets, ensuring alignment with overall brand goals and revenue targets.
- Retail Expansion: Lead the expansion of The Wellness Shop into new retail channels, building a robust retail network and managing relationships with key retailers.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the retail sales team to drive performance and achieve sales targets. Build a strong, motivated team to execute retail strategies effectively.
- Retail Partnerships: Build and nurture strong relationships with key retail partners (GT, MT, EBOs), ensuring optimal placement, visibility, and sales performance across all retail channels.
- Market Penetration: Focus on growing the retail footprint, enhancing product visibility, and ensuring product availability to increase brand presence in the market.
- Sales Forecasting & Planning: Develop and implement sales forecasts, budgets, and detailed action plans for retail channels, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
- Category Management: Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure product assortments are aligned with customer demands and retail trends.
- Retail Marketing & Promotions: Work with the marketing team to drive in-store promotions, activations, and trade marketing efforts that contribute to sales growth and brand awareness.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze sales performance, identify key opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to meet business objectives.
- Industry Insight: Leverage deep knowledge of the FMCG or skincare retail space to bring industry insights, trends, and competitive intelligence to shape The Wellness Shop's retail sales strategy.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in retail sales, with strong expertise in General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Exclusive Brand Outlets (EBOs), preferably from the FMCG or skincare industry.
- Proven track record of retail sales management, with hands-on experience in driving growth and managing key retail partnerships.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends and performance metrics to drive decisions.
- Deep understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior within the FMCG/skincare space.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to achieving retail sales goals
