Description:


Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Category Head - New Business to take complete ownership of a new business and drive its growth from zero to one. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of brand-building expertise, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making to scale the category into a high-impact business vertical.

This is a P&L-owning role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced D2C environment and loves building from scratch.

What You'll Do:

Category Ownership & Strategy

- Define and execute the end-to-end category strategy product positioning, pricing, and go-to- market plans.

- Lead P&L for the category; drive revenue, profitability, and market share.

- Build & Identify new category opportunities by developing a roadmap to expand the business.

Brand Building & Marketing

- Own the brand narrative and ensure consistent communication across all consumer touchpoints.

- Collaborate with creative, digital, and performance marketing teams to drive awareness and consideration.

- Partner with product and R&D teams to create differentiated offerings aligned with brand promise.

Growth & Business Management

- Drive sales planning, forecasting, and inventory management to achieve business goals.

- Leverage data and insights to make informed decisions on category health, customer behavior, and market trends.

- Work cross-functionally with eCommerce, retail, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution.

What You Bring to the Table:

- 7 to 9 years of experience in brand management within D2C, FMCG, or consumer product companies

- Should have been a people manager

- It would be great if you would have worked on a brand or category from scratch ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.

- Deep understanding of consumer behavior, brand positioning, and go-to-market strategy.

- Strong business acumen with a data-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
