Key Responsibilities: Overview: The Head of Operations for the Sales Team at The Quarry will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the sales vertical, reporting directly to the Founder. This role requires a strategic leader who will ensure the smooth functioning of the sales team, drive revenue growth, and be accountable for the overall profitability (P&L) of the sales vertical. The ideal candidate will have strong operational management experience, a deep understanding of the luxury market, and the ability to drive performance in a high-end sales environment. Reports to: Management Sales Operations Management: - Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring efficient processes, adherence to sales strategies, and achievement of revenue targets. - Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures to optimize the sales function. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics etc to support sales initiatives and improve overall operational efficiency. P&L Accountability: - Own the Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for the sales vertical, ensuring revenue growth and profitability. - Monitor and manage the sales budget, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with company goals. - Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality and product exclusivity. - Responsible for achieving sales targets consistently along with guiding and ensuring the team also achieves their individual targets Client Relationship Management: - Ensure the sales team delivers exceptional customer service that reflects the company's brand image. - Oversee key client relationships, including high-net-worth individuals, interior designers, architects etc ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships. - Manage and nurture relationships with strategic partners Reporting and Communication: - Provide regular updates to the Founder on sales performance, operational challenges, and strategic initiatives. - Prepare and present detailed financial and operational reports, including revenue forecasts, sales trends, and P&L analysis. - Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization to support the sales team's goals and objectives. Team Management and Development: - Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, creating a culture of excellence and accountability. - Oversee the training and development of the sales team, ensuring they have the necessary skills to sell luxury products and deliver exceptional client service. - Provide leadership to cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, logistics etc) to ensure alignment with sales goals. Relationship Management: - Ensure the highest standards of customer experience are met throughout the sales process. - Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business. - Represent the company at luxury industry events and maintain a visible presence in the premium home dcor community. Who qualifies? Education: - Bachelor's degree in business, operations, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred. Experience: - Proven 10 plus experience as Head of Sales or in a senior executive role within the luxury home decor or related industry. - Proven experience in managing P&L, budgeting, and financial analysis. - Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing sales team. Skills: - Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. - Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, P&L, and forecasting. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage high-end client relationships. - Experience with CRM systems, sales analytics, and other relevant tools to track performance.
