Director of Operations

Remote - International Contractor - Full-Time, 40 Hours per Week

The Opportunity:

The Mastectomy Guide is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to help run our company and lead its next stage of growth.

We are a Canadian education company transforming how massage therapists understand and provide care following breast and chest surgery. Our programs support therapists working with breast cancer, gender-affirming, and elective surgery populations. We are heart-centred, clinically rigorous, and working toward becoming the international gold standard in this emerging field.

With established educational programs, a talented international team, growing evergreen revenue streams, and plans to scale into a seven-figure company, we now need a proven operational leader who has helped scale a small business before.

Working in close partnership with our Founder and CEO, you will progressively assume leadership of day-to-day operations, strengthen the systems and team beneath the business, and turn company vision into coordinated, measurable progress.

This is a senior leadership position for someone who can help run and scale the company, not simply coordinate projects or maintain existing systems.

What You Will Own:

- Translate company vision and priorities into clear plans, owners, budgets, timelines, and measurable outcomes.

- Lead day-to-day operations across programs, Sales, Marketing, administration, technology, finance coordination, and customer experience.

- Manage and develop our remote, cross-functional team, creating clarity, accountability, collaboration, and strong performance.

- Prioritize work across the company based on operational health, revenue potential, available capacity, and stage of growth.

- Oversee major projects, launches, educational programs, and live events, including, within your first 90 days, significant programs taking place in October 2026.

- Strengthen project management, quality assurance, documentation, reporting, and digital systems.

- Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve evergreen funnels, customer journeys, conversion, and revenue performance.

- Monitor budgets, team capacity, contractor spending, and resource allocation to support profitability and sustainable growth.

- Develop concise dashboards and CEO reporting for revenue, performance, priorities, risks, and operational health.

- Resolve routine decisions and cross-functional blockers without requiring continual CEO involvement.

- Build the operational infrastructure required to scale MG without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.

How You Lead:

- Take meaningful ownership and follow important work through to completion.

- Recognize gaps, risks, and opportunities early.

- Bring structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving environments.

- Make sound decisions independently and understand when CEO involvement is genuinely required.

- Lead people with humanity, clarity, and appropriate firmness.

- Address performance concerns directly and constructively.

- Communicate risks, constraints, and capacity concerns early, accompanied by potential solutions.

- Collaborate openly with the CEO and team, drawing upon different perspectives and areas of expertise.

- Can respectfully challenge assumptions, test ideas, and help determine the strongest path forward.

- Understand that collaboration and accountability strengthen one another.

- Care deeply about people, quality, meaningful work, and healthy organizational culture.

Essential Experience:

- At least three years of operations leadership experience, supported by substantial directly relevant professional experience.

- Demonstrated experience helping a small or growing business scale toward or beyond seven figures in annual revenue.

- Clear evidence of your personal contribution to improved growth, execution, systems, profitability, capacity, or business performance.

- Experience leading remote, cross-functional teams and managing managers or department leads.

- Strong project, program, people, budget, and resource-management capability.

- Experience establishing business metrics, dashboards, reporting, and accountability systems.

- Experience working directly with a founder, CEO, or visionary leader.

- Full professional fluency or native-level fluency in written and spoken English.

- Strong practical fluency with digital platforms used to manage remote teams, projects, communication, reporting, and business operations.

- Experience in online education, digital marketing, evergreen funnels, Kajabi, live-event production, or healthcare education would be highly valuable.

Working Arrangement and Compensation:

- Full-time international contractor position

- 40 hours per week

- Fully remote

- MG must be your primary professional commitment

- Meaningful working-hour overlap with the CEO in British Columbia, Canada

- Compensation of CAD $3,500 - $4,500 per month, depending on experience and demonstrated capability

- Initial three-month mutual-fit and performance review

- Opportunity for compensation growth as the company grows

How to Apply:

Please submit your résumé or CV, the completed Director of Operations application form, and a video introduction of no more than three minutes.

Applications close August 28, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Only candidates selected for the next stage will be contacted.
