The House of Rare - Manager/Deputy Manager - Accounts Receivable

Job Purpose:

To lead the Accounts Receivable function across Marketplaces and D2C platforms by ensuring accurate reconciliations, resolving disputes, managing receivables, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

- Supervise and guide the accounts receivable team for both Marketplaces and D2C.

- Establish robust reconciliation and reporting processes.

- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end receivables health.

Market Place & D2C:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting entries and reconciliations across Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio, and Shopify.

- Review payment settlements, fees, and refund transactions.

- Reconcile inventory with Unicommerce/WMS and resolve discrepancies.

- Approve daily summary reports and ensure accuracy of booked entries.

- Lead resolution of payment and settlement disputes with marketplaces, gateways, and shipping partners.

- Ensure timely and accurate booking of invoices and credit notes from partners.

- Drive monthly P&L preparation and analysis for both channels.

- Monitor receivables ageing and initiate timely follow-ups.

- Collaborate with internal teams for provision of expenses and other financial requirements.

Key Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Advanced Excel and ERP (e.g., Tally, SAP, or similar)

- Expertise in marketplace and D2C e-commerce accounting

- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

- Analytical mindset with a focus on process improvements
