Overview:
- The Hosteller is hiring an Accounts Manager to join India's fastest-growing hostel chain.
- The role includes finalizing books of accounts, MIS, and reporting, along with managing daily financial operations and supporting strategic decision-making through data analysis.
- We're seeking for 0-3 years in CA or 3-5 years experienced manager in finalsiing of books of accounts, MIS, Finance and reporting.
- He/she should have a vast geographical (India/International) knowledge including a deep understanding of travel/hospitality/service sector, hands-on experience of D2C companies, e-commerce industry, etc.
Job description:
- Understand the company's vision, various product lines, growth trajectory, vision and mission.
- Understand travel/hospitality/tourism sectors wrt financial and accounting practices.
- Understand various industry practices, company workflow, prevalent accounting/reporting structure, accounting practices & book keeping processes, laws/compliances, etc.
- Work closely with other stakeholders in the company and lead financial reporting and operating functions to understand and assess the impact of company's initiatives and projects.
- Prepare, review, and analyse financial performance to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the day-to-day financial activities of the organisation; control its financial resources, and ensure that all financial transactions, systems, and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Prepare timely (monthly/quarterly/yearly) financial statements, etc.
- Assess current practices and procedures to make recommendations for improvements to meet financial accounting objectives.
- Maintain the internal control environment in the Company's operations that are in compliance with corporate policy, Anti-Corruption control, and as well as SOX requirements etc.
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Develop team by managing performance, setting goals, providing regular training and maintaining strong employee relationships.
Qualification:
- Masters/Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
- Work experience > 5 years, 0-3 years in CA (Mandate).
- Prior experience as accounting/finance manager with day to day hands on experience of Tally ERP/Zoho books/etc., MS office/excel or any other reporting tools.
- Extensive knowledge of statutory and statutory compliances.
- Prior experience in hospitality, travel or related industries.
- Outstanding analytical, communication, inter-personnel & time-management skills.
