The Knowledge Expert will - - Insert oneself into business as an expert advisor for case and topic/sector teams - For player/coach model, also apprenticing and leading a team - Lead proposal engagement work and apply expert knowledge to satisfy complex client demands - Work with topic/sector teams by managing and commercializing TMT Practice knowledge initiatives, products and services POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES : Work with case (and proposal) teams - Inserts oneself into business - Leads KT's proposal & engagement work - Applies expert knowledge to satisfy complex client demands - Lead role in selling process to clients through expertise - Shares fresh and commercially relevant topic/sector expertise with case teams to support client work - Writes large portions of proposal/selling documents - Provides institutionalized knowledge - Work with Semiconductor sub-sector teams - Manages & commercializes PA knowledge initiatives, products and services - Contributes substantially to development of knowledge initiatives, products (e.g. benchmarking) & Tier-1s - Captures proprietary content & industry & topic/sector insights to the knowledge infrastructure - Identifies topic/sector gaps & suggests knowledge initiatives to management - Influences the shaping & direction of the PAs knowledge agenda Manage projects : - Upholds the quality of knowledge captured & standardizes processes - Manages projects involving other KT, 3rd party (RC, outsourcers) and sometimes CT/ECT or client staff Manage KT teams (after initial on-boarding phase) - Resource deployment (staffing) according to business needs - Plays an active role in recruitment according to business needs - Designs on-boarding schedule, provides day-to-day apprenticeship & coaching for junior KT staff - Long term professional development of KT Analysts inclusive of Lead & Senior Kn. Analysts (w/ Senior Kn. Expert & KBM) - Evaluates performance and develops career development plans for KT staff Support Knowledge Business Manager & Knowledge Expert on change process for PA KT set-up JOB REQUIREMENTS : - 9+ years of industry experience (Semiconductor) or 5+ years in consulting & industry experience with relevant Semiconductor Industry focus - Line & project management experience - Advanced degree - Deep expertise in the Semiconductor sub-sector - Has and builds a strong industry network - Provides management support to KBM & Senior Knowledge Expert - Integrates closely with local (and regional) PA-affiliated partners, and lead/drives business development knowledge contribution - Senior presence & can operate/influence effectively in a matrix organization - Well-developed management skills & business acumen - Deep & recognized expertise in a topic/sector domain with strong external network - Excellent project management - Superior problem solving - Strong presence & leadership skills - Strong business sense BCG is an Equal Opportunity Employer
