About The Bare Bar:
The Bare Bar is a clean, high-performance bodycare brand built around effective formulations, thoughtfully selected ingredients and products designed for real Indian skin, bodies and conditions.
We are looking for a Brand Manager who can help build The Bare Bar into a distinctive, high-growth consumer brand someone who can move seamlessly between strategy and execution, understand what consumers want, and turn those insights into products, campaigns and communication that people genuinely connect with.
This is a hands-on role. We are not looking for someone who only creates marketing plans and delegates execution. We want someone who can own a problem, develop the strategy, brief the team, execute it and look at the numbers afterwards.
The Role:
As Brand Manager, you will be responsible for building and strengthening The Bare Bar across its digital and offline touchpoints while driving brand growth, consumer relevance and commercial performance.
You will work closely with the Founder, Creative, Product Development, Production, E-commerce, Performance Marketing, Sales and external partners.
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning:
- Own and continuously evolve The Bare Bar's brand positioning, personality, messaging and consumer proposition.
- Ensure the brand has a consistent voice and visual identity across website, social media, marketplaces, packaging, campaigns, retail and offline activations.
- Develop annual and quarterly brand plans aligned with business and revenue objectives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, consideration, trial and repeat purchase.
- Keep a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across clean beauty, bodycare and personal care.
2. Consumer & Market Understanding:
- Develop a deep understanding of The Bare Bar's target consumer, including needs, behaviours, pain points and purchase drivers.
- Track consumer trends, category developments and competitor activity.
- Use customer reviews, sales data, social listening, surveys and market research to identify opportunities.
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for products, communication, campaigns and customer experience.
3. Campaigns & Brand Activations:
- Own the end-to-end planning and execution of brand campaigns.
- Build campaign concepts, communication territories, launch plans and content requirements.
- Work closely with the creative team to develop campaigns that are distinctive, relevant and commercially effective.
- Plan and execute product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotional campaigns, events and brand activations.
- Coordinate influencer, PR, partnership and collaboration initiatives where relevant.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and to the expected quality.
4. Product & New Product Development:
- Work closely with Product Development and the Founder on new product opportunities.
- Identify white spaces and product opportunities through consumer and market insights.
- Participate in product ideation, positioning, naming, claims, packaging and go-to-market strategy.
- Build launch plans covering communication, content, sampling, influencers, e-commerce and offline activation.
- Track post-launch performance and recommend improvements.
- Work with the team on portfolio rationalisation, product upgrades and existing product growth.
5. Content & Creative:
- Act as the bridge between brand strategy and the creative team.
- Develop clear briefs for social, website, campaigns, packaging and other consumer-facing communication.
- Ensure every piece of communication feels unmistakably The Bare Bar.
- Push for communication that is fresh, culturally relevant and differentiated rather than generic beauty advertising.
- Review and approve brand communication while maintaining consistency in tone, messaging and positioning.
- Identify new content formats, platforms and creative opportunities for the brand.
6. E-commerce & Commercial Growth:
- Work closely with the D2C, marketplace and performance teams to translate brand strategy into commercial growth.
- Understand the performance of key products across the website, Amazon, Nykaa and other channels.
- Track metrics such as revenue, conversion, AOV, repeat rate, customer acquisition, product performance and campaign ROI.
- Work with the team on promotions, launches, bundles, offers and merchandising.
- Balance short-term sales objectives with long-term brand building.
- Use data to identify what is working, what isn't and where the brand should invest.
7. Partnerships & Community:
- Identify relevant brand collaborations, gifting opportunities, events and partnerships.
- Build relationships with creators, communities, organisations and brands that can strengthen The Bare Bar's relevance and reach.
- Explore opportunities across corporate gifting, offline retail, events and other emerging channels.
- Ensure partnerships are strategically aligned with the brand rather than purely transactional.
8. Agency & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage external creative, PR, influencer, media and other agency partners where required.
- Brief partners clearly and hold them accountable for timelines and quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Creative, Product, Production, E-commerce, Sales and Operations.
- Maintain clear project timelines and ensure cross-functional initiatives move forward without unnecessary delays.
9. Performance & Reporting:
- Establish and track key brand and business KPIs.
- Prepare regular brand performance reviews covering sales, campaign performance, consumer metrics and key learnings.
- Evaluate campaign ROI and marketing spends.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and commercial outcomes.
- Convert data into clear recommendations and action plans for the leadership team.
What We Are Looking For:
- 1. 3-8 years of experience in brand management, brand marketing, consumer marketing or category marketing.
- 2. Experience in beauty, personal care, FMCG, D2C or consumer brands is strongly preferred.
- 3. Strong understanding of digital-first brands and consumer behaviour.
- 4. Experience in taking campaigns and/or products from idea to execution.
- 5. Strong analytical ability with the ability to connect brand activity to business outcomes.
- 6. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- 7. Strong creative instinct and understanding of what makes consumer communication work.
- 8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- 9. High ownership someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs to be done.
- 10. Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can change quickly.
