GM Procurement and Supply Chain (23-30 yrs)
Overall Responsibility:
- Overall responsibility for Purchasing and Cost Estimating activities across the business.
- Create and implement best practice purchasing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
- Ensure purchasing strategies align with business objectives, operational needs, and market competitiveness.
- Manage supplier selection and evaluation processes, including terms and conditions, supplier rationalization, and supply chain solutions.
- Mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities through proactive evaluation of business challenges.
- Contribute to the overall business strategy and annual budget process.
- Take ownership of purchasing policy, guidelines, and associated documents.
- Initiate and innovate procurement processes, including eProcurement.
Purchasing and Supply Chain Strategy:
- Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Focus on direct materials categories (Stamping, Forging, Machining, Sheet Metal) at a corporate level.
- Negotiate and manage strategic contracts and supplier relationships effectively.
- Drive initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.
- Manage day-to-day procurement operations and resources to execute the Procurement Strategy.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve cost savings and budget targets.
- Ensure compliance with financial and purchasing regulations.
- Collaborate across the supplier network to optimize value for money.
- Champion sustainable procurement practices aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Technical:
- Have considerable knowledge of commodity purchasing, methods of analyzing suppliers & material, contract language, compliance requirements, and financial risk.
- Have the ability to develop & execute business continuity/strategic plans to provide direction toward the achievement of financial targets.
- Have a track record of exceptional collaborative relationships with suppliers, contractors and colleagues.
Qualification:- Be a mechanical engineer with over 15 years of work experience in procurement, logistics, warehousing and exports in a manufacturing industry.
- MBA (Full Time) in Supply Chain Management.
