Role Overview:

As a Lead Retail Store Planner, you will be responsible for shaping the physical and digital layout strategies that define the customer shopping experience across our retail estate. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial, supply chain, and store operations, to translate complex data insights into actionable floor plans and space allocation strategies. Your work directly influences store productivity, inventory flow, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that our retail spaces are optimized for both efficiency and engagement in a highly competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement comprehensive store layout strategies that maximize sales density and improve customer navigation across diverse retail formats.

- Analyze store-level performance data and customer behavior metrics to recommend space adjustments that drive category growth and operational efficiency.

- Collaborate with category managers and supply chain teams to ensure that space allocation aligns with inventory requirements and seasonal promotional cycles.

- Lead the end-to-end planning process for store refits and new store openings, ensuring all designs meet brand standards and local regulatory requirements.

- Develop and maintain sophisticated space planning models that allow for rapid iteration and scenario testing based on changing market demands.

- Mentor junior planners and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality output and adherence to global retail best practices.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in retail space planning, floor plan optimization, and category management within a large-scale retail environment.

- Strong proficiency in space planning software and data visualization tools, with an ability to translate complex datasets into clear, strategic recommendations.

- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners through data-backed storytelling and clear communication.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements in store productivity and operational throughput.

- A minimum of 5 to 9 years of professional experience in retail planning, store operations, or a related analytical field.

- A degree in Business Management, Retail Management, Engineering, or a related discipline from a reputed institute.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, maintaining high levels of collaboration and productivity while working with global teams based in Bangalore.
