Territory Sales Manager


Description:


Key Responsibilities:


- Sales & Revenue Growth


- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.


- Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors and dealers.


- Ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels across the channel.


- Increase market share and improve product penetration within the territory.


Channel Management:


- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and dealers.


- Strengthen relationships with channel partners to enhance performance and loyalty.


- Monitor distributor ROI, stock levels, and liquidation.


- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit norms.


Demand Generation & Field Activities:


- Plan and execute farmer meetings, product demonstrations, field days, and promotional campaigns.


- Support dealers in implementing local marketing initiatives.


- Provide technical product guidance and crop solutions to farmers and channel partners.


- Drive visibility and brand presence in the market.


Team & Stakeholder Management:


- Lead and guide field staff (if applicable) to ensure effective territory coverage.


- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams for seamless operations.


- Build strong relationships with progressive farmers, influencers, and key opinion leaders.


Market Intelligence & Analysis:


- Conduct regular market surveys to track competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and product performance.


- Analyze crop patterns, acreage, and seasonal demand trends.


- Provide timely market feedback, forecasts, and business insights to management.


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):


- Sales achievement vs. target


- Secondary sales growth


- Distributor productivity and market coverage


- Demand generation effectiveness


- Market share growth


- Collection efficiency and credit control


Required Qualifications & Experience:


- 6 to 8 years of experience in agrochemical sales through dealer/distributor channels.


- Strong understanding of crop cycles, regional agricultural practices, and farmer engagement.


- Proven track record of achieving territory growth and channel expansion.
