Job Description:

Role Purpose:

To manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of spare parts and components for construction equipment, ensuring optimal inventory levels, accuracy, and timely availability to support operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate stock records for all parts and components.

- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels; initiate replenishment as required.

- Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts.

Receiving & Issuance

- Oversee incoming parts verification against purchase orders.

- Ensure proper documentation for receipts and dispatches.

- Coordinate timely issuance of parts to service teams and workshops.

Vendor Coordination

- Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery and quality compliance.

- Handle discrepancies in quantity or quality with procurement and vendors.

System & Compliance

- Update ERP/Inventory Management System regularly.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Team Management

- Supervise store personnel and allocate tasks effectively.

- Train team on inventory handling and safety protocols.

Reporting

- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.

- Highlight slow-moving and obsolete items for action.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of spare parts for construction equipment.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

- Good communication and vendor management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA and Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Supply Chain Management.

- 4 to 6 years of experience in stores/inventory management in construction equipment or heavy machinery industry.
