About the Role: The DMI International Lead of Metadata/Data Quality Management team will play a dual role of leading the teams of both Metadata management and Data Quality management. This role would involve leading the data quality rule design and implementation efforts of detective controls, reporting results of front end (onboarding controls), data movement controls and data quality monitoring controls and leading an eDQM's Quality Assurance. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of data dictionaries and corresponding quality assurance and quality control activities by collaborating with other teams within DMI as well as working with lines of businesses and technology. Responsibilities: - Significant management responsibility for insights, analysis, and quality strategies for data and metadata with a broad enterprise-wide focus and impact across multiple business lines. - Provides leadership in developing and ensuring adherence to an organization-wide data-integrity governance framework. - Significant responsibility for developing/maintenance of a corporate roadmap for data-quality target state. - Develop function to work across business, operations, and technology teams to capture and maintain business data definitions/dictionaries in a cost effective,sustainable manner - Provide leadership in establishing data and metadata quality goals, and ensuring the design and implementation of initiatives to achieve those goals. - Develop strategies to prioritize and remediate data quality issues that align with business needs and/or regulatory compliance initiatives. - Defines measurement standards, collaborates with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements and interpretation. - Manage the development of audits, controls structured around business processes, data-quality target state, and standards for metadata content and documentation. - Onboard and manage managers or senior level individual contributors, providing direction, coaching and feedback. - Liaison to senior and executive management to ensure data quality strategy and metadata strategy are in line with business strategy. - Partner across related data management functions to ensure efficient operating models, reuse, and clear/consistent partner engagement - Execute and support activities for prioritized data initiatives - Drives planning and implementation of approach/plan end to end while ensuring operational excellence and process efficiency - Ensure talent development of management leveraging both internal resources and industry best practices - Typically provides leadership for related internal as well as industry activities. Typically oversees multiple managers of large teams with diverse and complex areas of accountability - Develop team with cross-functional expertise across the end to end supply chain to provide additional context for key activities; Market Skills and Certifications Essential Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or project management - 10+ years of data analysis and data management experience - 10+ years of leadership experience in building and leading critical teams - 5+ years of metadata experience - 5+ years of experience in developing data quality rules, including manual and system processes - 5+ years of financial services industry experience - Experience working with data governance tools (Collibra, Ab Initio, Informatica) and other data technologies - Experience working in Enterprise Data Lake and/or other large Data Environments Desired Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience performing data defect analysis and remediation - 5+ years of experience with data-related technology systems - 5+ years of experience producing data artifacts, evidence to demonstrate adherence - 5+ years of compliance and regulatory systems experience - Experience creating or maintaining data quality dashboards or metrics - Customer service focus with the ability to listen to customer needs and recommend solutions - Ability to understand business processes and/or objectives to enable successful implementation of documentation activities and identification of future efficiencies - Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations - Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization - Proven ability to develop and manage relationships across Lines of Business and support functions - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver - Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
