Technology Lead - Electronic & Algorithmic Trading

Role Overview:

A leading capital markets and fintech platform is looking for a senior technology leader to own the design and delivery of high-performance, low-latency trading platforms. The role will lead engineering across electronic trading, order management, exchange connectivity and trading infrastructure, while managing a strong engineering team. Requires deep hands-on expertise in C++, Python, Linux and low-latency systems, along with proven engineering leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead engineering teams building low-latency trading platforms and critical market infrastructure.

- Own architecture and development of high-performance trading applications, order management systems and exchange connectivity platforms.

- Drive low-latency, high-throughput solutions for order routing, execution and market connectivity.

- Partner with Trading, Quant, Product and Business teams to translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.

- Drive modernization across engineering practices, testing, deployment and platform performance.

- Provide technical direction while remaining hands-on in architecture, coding, debugging and performance optimization where required.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 14-20 years of software engineering experience, preferably in capital markets, brokerage, investment banking, trading or fintech.

- Strong hands-on expertise in modern C++ and Python.

- Proven experience building low-latency and high-performance systems.

- Strong understanding of order management systems, electronic trading, order routing, exchange connectivity and FIX protocol.

- Strong expertise in Linux or Unix, multithreading, concurrency, memory management and performance optimization.

- Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams while retaining strong technical depth.
