Technical Procurement Specialist/Strategic Buyer

Description:

- We are looking for a Technical Buyer / Strategic Buyer with 7 - 10 years of experience in sourcing and procurement of technical components for an advanced engineering and energy technology company.

- The role involves working closely with R&D and engineering teams to identify suppliers, manage sourcing activities, and ensure cost-effective procurement of technical components.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on technical capability, quality, cost, and production capacity

- Source components such as PCBAs, sheet metal parts, housings/cabinets, turning & milling parts, cables & wiring, and magnetics

- Work closely with engineering and project teams to understand technical drawings, specifications, and BOM requirements

- Manage RFQs, quotation evaluations, supplier negotiations, and commercial discussions

- Resolve supplier issues related to delivery delays, quality deviations, and material shortages

- Maintain procurement documentation including supplier records, cost sheets, and sourcing reports

Candidate Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering

- 7 - 10 years of experience in technical procurement or strategic sourcing with an OEM

- Experience in procurement of electronic, electromechanical, or industrial components

- Strong experience in supplier management, RFQs, negotiations, and vendor development

- Ability to work with cross-functional and global teams
