Role Purpose :
As the Technical Pre-Sales Manager for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) , you will be the primary technical interface between our R&D teams and Indias leading Automotive & 2W OEMs (e.g., Bajaj, TVS, Hero, Mahindra, Tata).
You will act as a "Technical Architect of Value," translating complex sensor capabilities (such as Camera) into compelling safety features that align with an OEMs specific product roadmap and price-point strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Technical Solutioning & Pre-Development :
- Lead the technical discovery phase with OEM R&D teams to identify specific safety needs (e.g., Blind Spot Detection for 2W, Right Turn Assist for CVs).
- Drive Pre-Development projects and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), ensuring our sensors and algorithms are successfully integrated into prototype vehicle architectures.
- Advise OEMs on the "Sensor Mix"articulating the trade-offs between Camera-only, Radar-only, and Sensor Fusion approaches regarding cost, performance, and environmental robustness.
2. Strategic Value Proposition :
- Bridge the gap between "what the tech does" and "why the OEM needs it." Align ADAS features with the OEMs branding (e.g., safety-first vs. tech-premium).
- Provide the OEMs with "battle cards" on sensor performance in unique Indian scenarios (e.g., un-marked roads, high-density traffic).
3. Tactical Execution :
- Translate OEM technical requirements into internal product specifications for our global engineering teams.
- Manage the technical portion of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring high-quality, technically accurate responses.
- Support on-field vehicle trials and calibration workshops, providing a feedback loop from the road to the lab.
Preferred candidate profile :
- Educational Background : B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Domain Expertise : 4+ years in ADAS/ARAS, Automotive Electronics, or Embedded Systems. Deep understanding of :
a. Sensors : Radar (77GHz), CMOS Cameras, Ultrasonic, and LiDAR.
b. Functions : FCW, AEB, ACC, BSD, and Drowsiness Monitoring
c. OEM Cycle : Familiarity with the APQP process, SOP timelines, and V-Model development.
d. CAN bus : experience integrating with canbus
- Soft Skills : A "consultative" selling stylethe ability to be a peer to an OEM engineer and a strategic advisor to an OEM Product Manager.
- Market Knowledge : Insight into the Indian 2W/4W market, including price-sensitivity and localization requirements.
The Ideal Candidate :
You are someone who is equally comfortable in a suit presenting to a CXO as you are in a workshop with a laptop connected to a vehicle's CAN bus. You understand that in India, an ADAS system that works in Stuttgart might fail in Satara, and you know exactly how to fix that for the customer.
