About the job:
We're seeking an experienced Technical Lead to own and scale our end-to-end media pipeline, from recording and ingestion to delivery and playback optimization across all platforms.
What You'll Do:
- Design and maintain automated content ingestion, transcoding, QC, and delivery pipelines handling thousands of assets daily
- Build multi-bitrate ABR workflows using FFmpeg, AWS MediaConvert, and streaming formats (HLS/DASH/CMAF)
- Architect CDN strategy and optimize delivery for startup time, buffering, and playback success
- Implement DRM systems (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady) and content protection workflows
- Build internal tools for monitoring, automation, and pipeline health
- Mentor engineers and define technical standards across teams
What You Bring:
- 5+ years in backend/media engineering with deep hands-on experience in FFmpeg, video codecs (H.264/H.265/AV1), and streaming protocols
- Strong knowledge of cloud media services (AWS MediaConvert, Elemental) and CDN internals
- Backend development skills (Python, Go, Node.js, Java)
- Experience with DRM, encoding profiles, and large-scale content delivery

- Monitoring: Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, Grafana
- Version Control: Git
Education :
- Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Media Technology, or related fields.
- Certifications in cloud, media systems, or security (AWS Media, DRM certifications) are a plus.
